Guide to a Joyful Heart
Tip of the Week:
Give instruction to a wise man. and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:9-10, KJV
As Christians, we are to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God. When we first become Christians, we have a fear (respect) for God. That is the beginning of our wisdom. However, we should study and seek to learn about His word. We can and should learn from others; such as, pastors, elders, leaders, and teachers of the word. (On a side note, age doesn’t automatically make a person an elder of the church, spiritual maturity does.) God uses His people, and His word to reveal His will. On the other hand, we should not just depend on others to provide our spiritual growth. It is very important for all Christians to have time in the word, The Bible. There’s no substitute for alone time with God. Furthermore, as you learn and grow in your spiritual knowledge, share what you learn with others. God will bless you.
Until next time, choose to keep joy in your heart.
