Guide to a Joyful Heart
Tip of the Week:
If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. Psalm 130: 3-4, KJV
Dear Friends, the fact is we all sin and fall short. We are not perfect, and as long as we live on this earth we will sin. Every day we fight the temptations of sin. Sometimes we fail. Sometimes we make mistakes. Sometimes by God’s grace, we win the battle. But, Dear Ones, if you are His child, He will forgive your trespasses and sins. However, in order to receive forgiveness, we must take responsibility for our sinful thoughts and actions. Then, we must turn from that sin, and humbly ask for forgiveness. I am so glad that God is a God of forgiveness. I can relate to King David as he ask, “If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?”. But, I am thankful that in the very next verse King David points out that, there is a forgiveness with God, and He is to be praised and glorified for His forgiving grace. Let’s take His example and the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for if they can forgive us of all we have done, we can forgive others. Forgiveness leads to a joyful heart.
For if ye forgive men their trespassess, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6: 14-15
