Guide to a Joyful Heart
Tip of the Day:
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 KJV
Jesus paid the price so we can be healed. Healed from sin, heartbreak, and death.
Do we, who trust in Christ, sin? Yes. However, three things also happen when we sin. First, we are convicted by the Holy Spirit. Second, we repent and turn from that sin. Third, we are forgiven. Although, many times we will have to face the consequence of that sin, and most of time it will effect others. God forgives His children when we repent and pray in Jesus’ name.
Do Christians suffer heartbreaks? Yes. Things of this world can break our hearts. However, we have a joy and peace in our heart that comes from knowing this is not our home, and trusting in Jesus, and God’s plan for our lives.
Do Christians die? Unless Jesus Christ comes and calls us all home, we will all experience a physical death. But, we can rejoice in knowing that is not the end. Our souls live on. Just as a caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly, we will be freed from this earthly body, freed to return to our Heavenly Father, freed to return home. We have this hope because Jesus paid the price. He died for our sins, and made a way back to The Father for us.
So my fiends, no matter what you are going through today, keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will put His joy and peace in your heart.
